Rated 2/5 Stars • Rated 2 out of 5 stars 07/19/24 Full Review Iran J This movie is DEFINITELY 5 STARS, it's from 2005 and with a very low budget.I saw the movie first and then rode the short story of the author, definitely the movie is way much better than the story (the story only has 12 pages).The development of the story is very good, of course there are some gaps that don't make sense because time travel is very complicated, it leaves you thinking many things. I was fascinated about the time waves, which I insist, create gaps that don't make much sense but, what difference does it make? It's SCIENCE FICTION. I think they have rated the film poorly but honestly IT IS VERY WORTH IT. Siguiendo la teoría del efecto mariposa, es una película sobre viajes en el tiempo y como una pequeña acción puede alterar el futuro. No es nada del otro mundo y la película es otra adicción más a la larga lista de películas de ciencia ficción. El director Peter Hyams era conocido por haber dirigido algunas películas interesantes y esta película es una rareza. Aunque fue hecha en 2005, parece que el estudio a cargo no tenía acceso a suficiente tecnología digital. Los efectos digitales son notables y es fácil notar que ciertos escenarios y criaturas están hechos en CGI. La película cae en sentirse como una película para televisión en vez de ser una película hecha por un gran estudio. Pero a pesar de ello, A Sound Of Thunder es una película curiosa para que cualquier amante de la ciencia ficción o de las obras de Bradbury pueda disfrutar. Es otra película más de esas que son para pasar un rato entretenido. Mi calificación para esta película es un 8/10. The movie barely follows the book's plot and what it does follow, it only fills roughly the first 20-30 minutes. The rest of the film is just a Jurassic park knockoff with some weird time travel shenanigans happening in between and a main character (who's role in the story is drastically changed compared to the original source) who is just another "overly smart tough guy" who barely has personality otherwise. A fever dream of a film and something fun to watch if high off ketamine or completely drunk. All in all, the only thing that is good in the movie are some of the acting, and the first 20 minutes. Otherwise, watch Project Almanac instead.
