In Elden Ring, legendary weapons belong to a special class of armaments that often feature unique designs and skills. Sometimes, these weapons also include unique lore that helps players piece together the game's mysterious plot. While the base game includes nine unique legendary weapons, the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC introduces four more.
These new legendary weapons are hidden in secret areas and two of them require solving a challenging puzzle. If you wish to acquire all four legendary weapons in the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion, the following guide will prove invaluable.

The Ancient Meteoric Ore Greatsword can be obtained from the furnace in the Ancient Ruins of Starfall Past. The ruins are located southwest of the Moorth Ruins Site of Grace. The legendary greatsword scales well with strength and dexterity.
Besides the incredible raw damage output, the weapon's unique skill, White Light Charge, also deals magic damage without requiring intelligence or faith. Since the weapon can be found relatively early into the expansion, you can rely on it for the majority of the DLC after upgrading it to +10.
Sword Of Darkness
Raise The Sword To Surround Yourself With Darkness & Deal Holy Damage
Attribute Requirement | Str-14; Dex-11; Fai-24 |
---|---|
Weapon Scaling | Str-D; Dex-E; Fai-E |
Weapon Type | Straight Sword |
Unique Skill | Darkness |
The Sword of Darkness is a legendary straight sword that you can acquire after finding the Stone Sheathed Sword in one of the three unique altars in the Shadow Realm. You can find these three altars in the following locations:
- Fog Rift Catacombs: In a secret chamber, accessible after stepping onto the three falling spiked traps.
- Ruins of Unte: Behind the temple blocked by an inactive Furnace Golem.
- Ancient Ruins of Rauh: On a tower, connected by an invisible walkway.
Once you have the Stone Sheathed Sword in your inventory, you can visit the second altar to transform the weapon into the Sword of Darkness. Activating the weapon's unique skill causes the Tarnished to raise the weapon in the air, releasing a gust of darkness that swivels around, dealing holy damage to all enemies caught in it while negating holy damage to self.

The Sword of Light is also a legendary straight sword that can be acquired in the same way you obtain the Sword of Darkness. Once you've transformed the Stone Sheathed Sword into the Sword of Darkness, you must visit the final remaining altar in the Realm of Shadows, and interact with it to transform the Sword of Darkness into the Sword of Light.
The weapon comes equipped with a unique skill called Light. When executing the skill, the Tarnished raises the weapon in the air, following which, rays of blinding light emanate from the weapon. Using the weapon skill also temporarily boosts the Tarnished's holy attacks.
You can either obtain the Sword of Darkness or Sword of Light in one playthrough of Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. To obtain both versions of the weapon, you'll need to replay the DLC at least a second time.
Euporia

The legendary Euporia Twinblade's lore states that it is a secret treasure of the Enir-Ilim. The blades are located in a difficult-to-reach area, accessible only after you complete a major event towards the end of the game.
The Euporia Twinblade deals holy damage, and when it strikes enemies, the blades emit a radiant glow, boosting its holy damage output. With the blades charged, executing the weapon's unique skill causes the Tarnished to spin the twinblade in front of them, releasing a series of holy projectiles that deal damage to enemies at range.
You cannot charge Euporia's blades when striking Those Who Live in Dead.
